On January 15th, SENEDIA hosted its latest Tech Talk – Bridge the Gap between AI and Business with Dr. David Segala. Dr. Segala provided insights on bridging the gap between AI and the business community. He shared an overview of “What is AI,” highlighting the fundamental differences between AI and machine learning through conceptual examples. He then discussed how to adopt and develop AI solutions, how to measure success and communicate metrics from both technical and non-technical perspectives, and the role of IT in data science and AI. He emphasized the importance of avoiding the development of custom AI solutions to ensure that proofs of concept successfully transition out of the product ‘valley of death.’ Dr. Segala is the founder and CEO of IDM Solutions, a data science consulting company developing machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions across the public and private sectors.
