According to a 2013 study by SENEDIA, “Securing the Future: Understanding and Advancing Rhode Island’s Defense Industry,” Rhode Island, with its defense industry and “critical port infrastructure, ideal coastal location and nationally recognized cybersecurity educational programs … is uniquely positioned to provide a comprehensive, innovative approach to maritime cybersecurity research.”
