It was an honor to coordinate the visit of Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh to Rhode Island on 1 November. Also in attendance was the RI Federal Delegation (Senator Reed, Senator Whitehouse, Congressman Langevin and Congressman Cicilline) and RI Governor McKee. We showcased how southeastern New England is the nation’s hub for Submarine Shipbuilding and Undersea Technology. We briefed our Next Gen Industry Partnership for Submarine Shipbuilding Workforce Development focused on training the trade and industrial workforce needed for today and tomorrow.
