The Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance (SENEDIA) recently issued a report, Securing the Future: Understanding and Advancing Rhode Island’s Defense Industry. This report explores the individual components of Rhode Island’s defense industry, highlights public policy areas of interest to the state’s defense industry, and suggests cybersecurity opportunities for Rhode Island economic advancement. This report concludes that Rhode Island should ultimately capitalize on its unique defense- and cyber-related assets by developing a Maritime Cybersecurity Center of Excellence.
