Senator Jack Reed announced that U.S. Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, will join him and other Congressional, Pentagon, and defense industry leaders in Newport, RI this September for a major forum focusing on the future of innovation and technology in the defense arena. Hosted by the Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance (SENEDIA), the event will be one of the first of its kind in the region to bring policymakers and industry representatives together to discuss new trends within the defense industry and technologies being developed and deployed to military forces across the globe.
