The American Red Cross Rhode Island Chapter will salute members of the U.S. Armed Forces at its eighth annual recognition breakfast, to be held Friday, June 13, at the Atlantic Beach Club in Newport. Hundreds of military, government, corporate and community leaders will come together for this inspirational event, which highlights the historical relationship between the Red Cross, the military and their families. While celebrating the critical role connecting families with their service member during emergencies, the event also raises funds to help the Red Cross provide services to members of the U.S. military, veterans and their families – i.e. linking military families during emergencies, supporting wounded warriors, providing resiliency training, emotional support and more.
